The Power of Self-Motivation: Lift Yourself Up!

You have the power to lift yourself up just as easily as you can bring yourself down. It's a decision you must make each and every day. When you find yourself caught in this battle of choices, remember to carry these little nuggets of motivation with you.

Don't Believe the Negative Talk

Forget about not being this or that. It all starts with those little excuses like "I don't feel good" or "I'm not that smart" or "I lack faith in myself." And before you know it, you start believing these things as if they were carved in stone. These negative beliefs then become ingrained in your system, becoming a part of who you are.

But here's the thing: don't waste a single second acknowledging these negative self-talks. Whenever that part of your brain starts spewing things that bring you down, shut it out and instead, listen to that quieter, often overlooked voice that says you can!

Have Faith in Yourself

Try to have a little faith - in yourself, in what you can do, and in the things you believe in. It doesn't matter if you fail; everyone goes through that painful process. What truly matters is that each time you stumble, you find the strength to rise again, rebuild yourself, and present the world with an improved version of you.

Choose Your Stance

It is crucial to exercise caution when selecting your stance. You have the option to convince yourself to undertake the task or not. This choice determines whether you will contribute to the triumph that one part of your mind believes you can achieve or participate in the failure that the other side of your mind tempts you towards. Always align yourself with the brain hemisphere that has faith in your abilities, prioritizes your welfare, and motivates you to become the person you aspire to be.

Take Action

When engaging in a debate with yourself, strive to emerge victorious each time. Keep in mind that the actual act of doing something is often not as challenging as the few minutes of mental chatter that precede it. So, instead of getting caught up in overthinking, focus on taking action and achieving your goals.

Hold on to Your Passion

Hang on to something that truly matters to you. There's nothing more significant in life than that one thing we hold dear. Some folks refer to it as their passion, while others call it their cause. What do you call yours?

Whether it's a cause, a passion, or whatever fuels your inner drive to achieve something, it's an incredibly powerful source of motivation. It never runs dry; it keeps flowing as long as you cling to that thing you care about. Sometimes, it's what pushes people to accomplish the impossible in the face of adversity. It's that very thing that grants them the courage to confront and overcome life's toughest challenges.

Dream Big

Dream big. Big dreams inspire. They make people work harder, with even more passion. What would happen to people if they had nothing to strive for? Absolutely nothing. Without Olympic medals and hundreds of Olympians to compete against, there would be no champions. If Mount Everest wasn't the highest mountain, there would be no mountaineers and hikers pushing themselves every day to reach the summit.

If you don't dream big, you'll forever be stuck in that little corner of the world where everything is just average, where the feeling of accomplishment is just a vague idea, and where success is practically non-existent.

Challenge Yourself

Challenge yourself. Competing with others can be beneficial, but it often leads to demotivation as you constantly compare yourself to them. Instead, focus on running your own personal race. Haven't you heard the saying, "You are your own worst enemy?"
